the end of mini eggs?

I need to stock up on Mini Eggs, I can't live without them.

For the first time in a long time, I'm sick. It's not bad, but it sucks. I blame it on my decreased bus taking frequency. Trust me, public transit builds your immune system like no other.

Last night I went out for the first time in over two fortnights. Some might have considered it a very early high school reunion, but I would hardly call it that. A high school reunion usually means the majority of the high school attends, not just the jocks. What do I have against my friends? Nothing, but just don't call it a high school reunion.
We went to Wooly's, one of the better places on Whyte in my opinion. Two birthday's brought the big group together. There were four generations of Ainlay there I think. I was part of the third oldest generation. It was good to see some of those young ones out there, but at the same time I was wondering: "whoa, are you 18!?" Of course the girls of my generation were all over the oldest generation guys, but it's not their fault that they are irresistible (like Jessica Simpson). Oh no! I'm becoming one of those people who blame things on other people, rather than taking the responsibilty myself. I'm not one of those, so it's my responsibility to just try harder next time. I'll make sure to remember to bring my dancing shoes.

one step behind

I was about to make the switch today, but I had some problems. The 12" iBook was the intended tool because it was on sale for a deliciously low price at the MicroStore. I went in on Friday to check out the deal and picked up a flyer. The guy said there were a fair amount of 12 inchers, so I didn't worry too much about it. I checked on Monday night and they were sold out. That's some quick movement of merchandise. Criminals could've learned some techniques from the MicroStore. Now I wait for the next upgrade. Hope it comes soon. In short: fuck you iBook stealers, fuck you up your stupid asses.

savage

Yesterday, Janice called me a savage based on my eating habits. I am actually pretty savage when it comes to eating.

I woke up and my dad made me a steak for my brunch before school. Steak for breakfast? That's pretty savage.

Then I was at school and I was perusing some vendors in the ED basement and I found a Kit Kat just sitting there! Sweetness! I picked it up, turned, and saw this suspicious guy sitting in a corner who looked like he was dressed for a blizzard (I couldn't even see his face!). The package was sealed, so I ate it.

Then I got to work and I was hungry. I had a day of squash, modern dancing, and gymnastics with only a steak and a Kit Kat fueling me! Come on, a man's gotta eat. Nikki was finished with her modified Chicken Parmagiano Pasta, so I asked if I could have it. I can't let food go to waste now, can I? No.

Maybe I'm just scavenging so that I have money for my iBook and my trip. I should start a foundation. The Feed Ed Foundation, and I'll give out wristbands for people who support me.

i want you to neigh, as loud as you can

I think today's O.C. was the end of the last "new" character. The lesbian rocker Alex is probably gone now. I liked the Seth comments in this one though, very muchly. The Captain Oats conversation was golden.

That is all...

my samsoness is gone!

I got my hair cut today and I am very happy. I left it pretty long for quite a bit of time, hoping for something to happen. But nothing came, so my hair became a burden. A burden I wanted to dump off as soon as I could. I feel lighter, and happier that my hair will dry in half an hour.

Last night I changed the oil in my (parent's) car for the first time by myself. It was an experience. First I had to jack up the car to fit the jack stands under. As I jacked one side up, i started to hear lots of creaking and stuff. Ah! I forgot to pull the e-brake. The car wasn't off the ground yet, but whew, that was a close one. Passenger side, then the driver side. Now that the car was up on the stands, it was time to get down and dirty! I spent about 20 minutes just trying to work this oil filter wrench thing and it kept slipping when I tried to turn the oil filter off. I finally just grabbed on with my hands and twisted it off, that was way easier! I poured in my new Mobil 1 synthetic motor oil and there we are done. I was very uneasy after I was done, because if there was a leak, I wouldn't know what to do. Now I just gotta check to see if my engine is consuming oil, because using synthetics in a higher mileage engine may loosen up some gunk. Without this gunk, stuff may leak out. Hope for the best!

gymnasty

It's Friday, and like every other Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I have gymnastics. It's my favourite course ever, and I urge you to enroll your kids (when you have them) into a gymnastics program. We were doing our testing combos for the high bar and the parallel bars today. Each combo is marked from a scale of 5 to 10. The fives are the easy stuff that anyone can do, the tens are the challenging stuff. I spend lots of time on the high bar and parallel bar, so I was pumped for these combos. After getting close to another rip on my hands (that would've been my third time), I stopped swinging and went to the parallel bars. I did the combos and decided that I can do a nine easily. The hard part of the ten is the swing to handstand. My beautiful gymnastics coach had confidence that I could do it after she saw my swings. The first time I tried the swing to handstand was last week. She spotted me and I fell over forward, but it wasn't bad. I just hit my heel a bit and got a charlie horse on my calf. Today, she showed me these things called parallettes, which are practically just really low parallel bars (about a foot off the ground). You practice your handstands on these, and then you can do them on the real p-bars. Now I wanted to do them because I was the closest person who could do them in our class, and I'm no gymnast! I just swing well. Anyways, I went up once and fell back onto my feet really quickly because I didn't push up hard enough. On the second try, I pushed harder. Too hard. I was bailing out forward again, but this time no one was spotting me and the floor was really close. I did a face plant on the mat from about two feet in the air. You may have noticed my abrasions on my face, now you know why. Imagine that I was doing a handstand, but I had no arms, and I was kissing the floor. That's kind of what I looked like. Now I hope that I don't get flesh eating disease from the mat. I look like I got my ass tuned up by a bouncer, that's going to be the story I tell when people ask.

post-humpday extravaganza

Well, the first week after reading week is wrapping up and I have found a new addiction. Nestea Raspberry Iced Tea. Wow, what a refreshing beverage. I've had three bottles in two days. I guess it's kind of like Ryan's cold green tea stuff addiction. I happened to pick it up one day because Cram Dunk didn't have chocolate milk. Boy was I glad I didn't get the choco milk, because the Nestea is way better (besides, chocolate milk doesn't really sit well in my stomach, but it tastes oooh so good). Now I know why people ask if we have flavoured iced teas at work.

My sister has also recently secured a job in Toronto with HBC. She's moving there in June or something, leaving me the only child left in the house. That leaves the Civic with me too, so there will be no new car in the Tse hizzouse. What ever, I'll fix up some rust spots, give it a nice tune up, buy it some new shoes and it'll be sexier than ever.

I played some team handball today. What a very fun sport. I haven't played intensely since elementary when I played some mini handball! Those were good times. I remember that I didn't really have any sports wear (you never change for gym class in elementary!), so I wore jean shorts to play. Playing sports in jean shorts!

I also noticed my mad hair while I was running around during handball. It's too long and getting in my eyes. I don't really like how it looks either, but I thought I would give longer hair a try. You can always cut your hair, but you can't always have longer hair! The hair appointment is in and the hair will be coming off shortly.

The weather is getting warm and sunny. I love it, but I don't love walking on the rocks left over after the ice has melted. I seriously have six rocks in each shoe every time I walk between classes. I walk at quite the pace too, so I whip up a rooster tail of muddy water when I go through puddles. I need some shoe mud flaps to keep my pants clean and dry.

Whoa, my sister is watching ET and I just found out that Charlie Sheen and Emilio Estevez are brothers. That's crazy.

EDIT: I forgot to add this in my post for the day.
I was on the radio today too! I phoned in for some 96X contest for a steak dinner for nine. It was about where the first recorded hockey game took place 130 years ago. Okay, make a guess... I was in the car with my sister and my first guess was Montreal, but I really didn't know. She said it would be a really old city like Quebec City. I got through and guessed Quebec City and Tim Reese said that I was close and I should call again. Damn! It was Montreal. I didn't get the steak meal for nine, but I was on the radio, super cool.
