big ben

I watched the Oscars last night and at the end, eTalk daily had some Ben Mulroney on. I don't understand why this guy is still on TV. He is just soooooooooooooo bad.

I thought that Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, and Cate Blanchett looked very ravishing. I thought Ellen was pretty funny, as always.

Right now, The Amazing Race is on TV and I see another Rob and Amber appearance. I am actually quite sick of seeing them on a TV too. Aren't they already reality TV'd out? Let someone else have a chance! I mean goddamn!

family feud

Name the month when malls start celebrating Christmas:

I would've said November (number 1 answer)

The woman said August

Three people agreed with her.

she was too tired to fight about it

The Eagles are amazing. Definitely good musicians and they can all sing! I'd love to go to a live show, just love to.

Life in the Fast Lane

Love Will Keep Us Alive

Take It Easy

So good, just so good. I wish I could sing like any of them.

please, enlighten me

I have one question to the women out there. Why must you file your nails in public? Seriously.

Today, I was at a conference listening to a keynote address from an awesome speaker. Everything is going fine, then this woman comes in ten minutes late and sits two seats away from me. First, she opens something up to eat, which I'm totally fine with, but afterwards, she breaks out a file and starts filing her nails. She totally wasn't watching the speaker, but she let out a few laughs here and there. This wasn't a short nail fix-up either, she was filing for probably 30-40 minutes. It was like she doesn't cut her nails, she just files them down. Every finger got some attention. Not only did I find this slightly annoying, I find it a little unhygienic. I was probably breathing in her sloughed off dead cells and she didn't have a care in the world.

Seriously, I don't cut my hair while I'm taking the bus. Or trim my nose-hairs in class, but why is it that I see women filing their nails in public. What makes this socially acceptable? I don't get it.

the saints are coming

If you haven't heard by now, let me inform you that I am no longer going to Leduc for my student teaching. Apparently something didn't work out and I was not informed of this until my university facilitator told me that I was no longer going to Leduc. He took me outside, like I was a kid in trouble, to tell me this one-on-one. When I asked him why, he said he asked the same question and he just told me that the field experience associate told him I'm dropped from the school. This was on Wednesday night, and I had two midterms on Thursday. I checked my email countless times waiting for news of my new placement. I finally get a call late Friday afternoon and I was told that there was a placement in a junior high school in St. Albert. Yes, I'll say it again, St. Albert. I live pretty deep in the South East corner of the city and St. Albert is effing so far for me. I have to commute through the whole city of crappy ass drivers. I'm not being pessimistic in saying that I might get hit by some impatient driver, again. Driving in Edmonton is like the plague, slowly taking out a couple cars at a time. I enjoy driving too! But I was talking with Travis, and he said that maybe it was fate and that I'll meet a super awesome mentor teacher at my new school. I guess only time will tell (and it'll take a little extra time for me to drive there).
