tread softly because you tread on my dreams

Did I ever talk to you about the back part of my teeth hurting? Maybe when I was eating some Nerds? Well, I looked into my mouth the other day and it looks like a tooth is peeking out from my gum behind my last molar! Woahhhhhh, when's the last time you birthed a tooth? So, I suspect that it's wisdom teeth troubles. I've been talking to former wisdom teeth holders, and they said the surgery wasn't that bad. It seems like all of my friends have had them taken out. Coincedentally, my sister and cousin are also having wisdom teeth births right now too! Too weird. There must be something in the air, maybe we're all allergic to Conservative governments. All you out there, if you have wisdom teeth stories, please leave me a comment!

i feel the need, the need for speed

Tom Cruise is my hero. Looking past the Scientology, he lives the life. I watched The Fabulous Life of Tom Cruise on Much More Music, and it was mind blowing. Among other things he owns, he has a $23 million Gulfstream airplane and the only matte black MV Agusta F4 given to him by the company ($23000+ motorcycle), which he test rode on the airport runway where it was delivered to him. Now that's how you live.

I also read about (article here) a club in Edmonton called The Bank Ultra Lounge. It's a 21-and-over club, so being 18 won't cut it here (or 16 if you go to Cowboys). The slick dress code and the age restriction is supposed to provide a more mature environment where people can go without the stupidity of the highschool mentality of going out, which means getting smashed and maybe getting into a fight. Apparently, Hilary Duff went there after her concert in Edmonton, she does love the older men. I don't think it's that unique of an idea, just go to Overtime and you'll find more than enough old people chillin'. That is a target rich environment if you are going cougar hunting.

...and you know the night is always gonna be there anyway....

Here's a little weekend update.

Some days my vision is kind of off a little. Like when you look up after writing a two hour exam. This doesn't look good for me becoming a pilot.

I've decided to start learning how to play all the CCR songs, so that the previously said tribute band can be started.

Layla, by Eric Clapton is such a great song (especially the acoustic version).

I didn't listen to enough Christmas songs during Christmas, so sometimes I listen to Christmas music right now, even when it's not Christmas.

I have approximately 58 DVDs (no comparison to you, Matt, I know). I'm pretty proud of my collection. Come over anytime if you want to watch a movie, I love watching movies (spooning on the couch only allowed if I'm involved).

I'm going for a haircut tomorrow at 11 o'clock (I have a break from 10 to 12). I think it'll be the second time in my life that it will be cut by a non-Chinese person. The first was once in Vancouver. I'm pretty excited about it, I need a new style, I think.

This "new style" feeling may be from reading this book I got from Chapters. Queer Eye For The Straight Guy: The Fab 5's Guide to Looking Better, Cooking Better, Dressing Better, and Living Better. I know what you're thinking, who watches Queer Eye anymore? Well, I would if it was on TV. This is also the same reason it's on sale for $10! This is the sort of stuff girls read, but tailored to guys. Read it, and tszuj your life up.

Work is good, but I'm not making that much money. I guess working two days a week will do that. It's good enough to sustain me, but I won't be moving out anytime soon.

My favourite channels right now are TLC, the Discovery Channel, and Much More Music.

I've started taking some vitamins. I realize that I don't eat enough during school, so maybe a Centrum a day will help out a bit.

My sleep cycle has not recovered from the holidays yet. I need to start sleeping earlier.

I'm going on a hot date tomorrow. We're going skating.

i heard it through the grapevine

I was looking for a textbook online (got it through chapters.indigo.ca) and I was listening to some CCR. Then my mom came downstairs to iron some clothes while Looking Out My Backdoor was playing. She then, out of nowhere, hums along to it. Hahahahahaha, I found it so funny. Then she said how these songs are "party" songs, hahahaha. Good stuff.

I am now open for applications to join my CCR tribute band.

i'm a vault, baby, locked down

I just watched Aeon Flux last night. SPOILER ALERT, don't read on if you are interested in watching the movie and don't want to hear what happens.

During the movie, I said to my friend, "on a scale from 1 to ridiculous, this movie is fucking ridiculous." There are just so many parts in it that blow my mind. I haven't seen the MTV Aeon Flux cartoons, so maybe that might have something to do with it. One thing, Charlize Theron is absolutely beautiful. Now that we've got that down, let's move on the the absurd parts. Let's start out with her ecstacy pill induced communication system. What is the pill for when she can later on rip her skin and push some buttons and go to the white room? What is up with the woman with the feet hands? One of the characters has hands in the place of her feet. They were pretty manly hands at that. I can't believe how many necks broke in that movie. And my friend and I laughed everytime that DNA keeper guy was on screen. The basic premise of the movie is that a disease wiped out all the Earth's population except for one city where this guy created a cure. The problem is that the cure made people sterile, so the people of the city are unknowingly cloned to keep the race alive. It gave me a Matrix vibe, people living without knowing about something deeper going on. All in all, it was a pretty bad movie, I definitely expected more from it.

let's hit up magnolia and mack on some cupcakes

The Christmas break is over. Here I am typing with my wireless keyboard as my final hours wind down before I start school again. As much as I don't want to start doing school work again, I actually want to go back to school. This two-and-a-bit weeks off were great, but there's only so much NHL06 I can play during the day. Once I'm immersed in school again, I'm gonna bet that I could be playing NHL06 all day.

Shout out to Joaquin and Reese.
