i heard it through the grapevine
I was looking for a textbook online (got it through chapters.indigo.ca) and I was listening to some CCR. Then my mom came downstairs to iron some clothes while Looking Out My Backdoor was playing. She then, out of nowhere, hums along to it. Hahahahahaha, I found it so funny. Then she said how these songs are "party" songs, hahahaha. Good stuff.

it's even funnier when you're in the car with dad and listening to 96X (before it went country) and he starts humming along to beyonce or some other generation-inappropriate song for him.

the difference is that i would change the radio station to something i liked. and dad wouldn't say anything and hum along to the songs.
